Mr. Muhammad Sabir

Mr. Sabir is currently a PhD scholar at University of Ireland (UoI). He has recently completed a research study on economic and social cost of violence against women and girls – a project spearheaded by UoI. He has also served as a National Expert on Gender Responsive Budgeting Initiative (GRBI) – a UNDP sponsored project implemented by the Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan during 2005-2007. He was co-opted member of ‘The Advisory Panel of Economists’ and member of ‘Working Group on Macroeconomic Framework and Development Strategy’ of the Planning Commission. Mr. Sabir was also a lead trainer on Gender-Responsive Economic Policy Management course co-organized by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education (KIGEPE) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) during September 09 – 22, 2012 and October 04 –15, 2013 in Republic of Korea. He has over eighteen years of experience in research, teaching, and policy-oriented work in the fields of public finance, macroeconomics, labour and gender.
